About This Spot

Minney’s Family Restaurant settles comfortably into the rhythm of Frametown life, where the hum of the Elk River nearby seems to seep into the easygoing pace inside. From the moment you walk through its doors, there’s a sense of genuine warmth—not just from the cozy booths and soft lighting, but from the kind of unhurried welcome that invites you to sit back and stay a while. It’s the sort of place where locals gather not only to eat but to share moments, the kind that feel quietly significant in their simplicity.

The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, a true reflection of a family restaurant rooted in tradition. Whether it’s the gentle clatter of plates during a hearty breakfast rush or the soft murmur of conversation over lunch, Minney’s balances a comforting familiarity with small touches of surprise. You’ll find no need to rush here—the food arrives thoughtfully and with care, encouraging lingering and storytelling over well-loved dishes.

Speaking of those dishes, it’s the type of menu that feels like a homecoming for your appetite. The pancakes carry the sort of fluffiness that speaks of early mornings and slow coffee sips, while sandwiches like the Reuben or a freshly grilled cheeseburger serve as a satisfying anchor for midday hunger. Breakfast classics come with a humble, soulful touch—imagine generous portions of sausage gravy or a country fried steak nestled beside perfectly cooked eggs and crispy hash browns. And there’s a quiet charm in the desserts too—apple dumplings and brownie sundaes offering a sweet close that reminds you this is a place made for savoring moments as much as meals.

Community is woven through the experience here, from the friendly waves exchanged across tables to the attentive service that somehow manages to feel both professional and genuinely personal. It’s this blend that turns a stop at Minney’s into something more than just dining—it’s a small chapter in a day marked by kindness and comfort.

As usual, I started off with an order of cheese sticks. I judge HEAVILY on how good those are, and they were amazing. I followed up with the Minnie Monster Swiss burger, which is probably the best local burger I've had in a long, long time. A tad expensive but worth it! Dessert was a slice of peanut butter pie, which capped off a wonderful visit.

This is a nice little place on a river. We went for dinner one evening and came back for breakfast even though it was 20 miles out of the way. The food is great and the service is fast and friendly. Definitely a change from fast food that one may eat while traveling.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon minney’s as we were on a road trip and were pleasantly surprised. We live outside of the NYC area and have high expectations and this food was fantastic!! Service was great as well. The salad looks like a regular salad, but the chicken on it was great! We should've ordered another of their pulled pork burgers to go because it was that good but had to hit the road. I Would highly recommend this restaurant!

Loved this place we went for breakfast and let me tell you it was sooo good! The French toast was the best we have ever had. Very welcoming atmosphere and service was outstanding!

First time here. We were excited to find a small family style restaurant near our location. Good selection of menu items. Good variety of dessert options. Prices were good also. We ordered the Open face turkey and mashed potatoes meal and the Turkey Bacon Club Sandwich. The food was good and didn't take very long to come out after ordering. Our waitress was attentive even with being the only one. We would go back again when in the area.

This is a beautiful family restaurant, breakfast all day. My girls loved the pancakes and French toast, and I had a great sandwich (the nightmare, picture included)! Definitely recommend, just about a mile off the interstate!

My first time here. I’ve driven by this before and noticed it and wanted to make sure I got to try it out. I love these little mom and pop country diners. I wish there were more but it seems like they are disappearing. Real home cooked food just like you grew up on. I would like to return when I’m in the area to try more of the dishes. The server was friendly. There was an appropriate amount of options with several desserts to choose from. Not a lot going on in the area food wise so I’m sure it is a popular spot for the locals but it isn’t a far drive from the interstate. Worth checking out if you’re passing through and want to stop in for a quick bite that is real food.
